Welcome to Prague Art. We feature a collection of artwork by Ladislava Fruehaufova, a retired illustrator and graphic designer from the City of a Hundred Spires – beautiful Prague in the Czech Republic.
About Prague Art
Prague Art was started by Ladislava’s daughter, Anna, and her husband, Jared, who live in Vernon, Connecticut.
The goal of Prague Art is to share a part of Anna’s European heritage with her fellow U.S. citizens, as well as the rest of the world, by offering her Mum’s artwork both locally and worldwide through local shops, art shows, and online.

About the Artist
Ladka Fruehaufova
Ladislava, or simply Ladka, studied at Hollar High School in Prague, which specializes in art. She has worked for a Czechoslovakian magazine, “100+1 ZZ,” as a graphic designer and has also illustrated several books.
Ladka, is a great Mum and friend who experienced the hardships of Communism and breast cancer. Painting and drawing have helped her cope with life’s challenges and bring her happiness.
Ladka gets her inspiration from everyday life, which she likes to mix with the world of fantasy. She is a huge animal and nature lover and is also passionate about cooking and baking.
People, animals, nature, angels and fairies, castles and European motifs are some of the many themes featured in Ladka’s paintings. Her work fits into many categories including fantasy and abstract.
Ladka currently resides with her husband, Jiri, and a Persian cat, Patsy, on the outskirts of Prague in the Czech Republic where she continues with her creations, both artistic and culinary.
